The Statements & Brilliance Mentor is a vital part of the academic services team.
The role is dedicated to helping students achieve excellence in their academic and skilled pursuits.
Responsibilities include providing personalized guidance and feedback on:
- Statements of Purpose (SOPs)
- Letters of Recommendation (LORs)
- Diversity Statements (DS)
- Personal statements
The mentor will also be responsible for:
- Grading IELTS, TOEFL, and GRE essays
- Conducting vocabulary reviews
- Preparing comprehensive score reports
The ideal candidate will possess:

- Excellent communication skills
- A deep understanding of academic writing and standardized testing
Key Responsibilities:
SOP, LOR, DS, and Personal Statement Mentoring:
- Review and Edit: Provide detailed feedback on SOPs, LORs, DS, and personal statements to ensure clarity, coherence, and impact.
- One-on-One Mentoring: Offer personalized guidance to students on improving their statements, focusing on structure, content, and overall presentation.
Essay Grading:
- IELTS and TOEFL Essays: Evaluate and grade essays according to the respective testing criteria, providing constructive feedback to help students improve.
- GRE Essays: Grade analytical writing sections of the GRE, ensuring feedback aligns with the scoring rubric and provides actionable insights for students.
Vocabulary Review:
- Review Sessions: Conduct vocabulary review sessions, helping students expand their lexicon in preparation for standardized tests and academic writing.
- Resource Creation: Develop study materials and resources to support vocabulary building efforts.
Score Report Preparation:
- Assessment Reports: Prepare detailed score reports for IELTS, TOEFL, and GRE essays, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
- Communication: Send out score reports and provide explanations to students on their performance, including recommendations for further study.

Work Timings: 11.30 am to 8.30 pm.
Working Days: Weekly six days
