About the Role

We are looking for an experienced 4G LTE/NB-IoT Layer-2 Developer with strong expertise in LTE Layer-2 protocol development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in MAC, RLC, and PDCP protocol stack development, strong C/C++ programming skills, and a solid understanding of 3GPP standards.

Key Skills & Requirements

- Strong understanding of LTE/NB-IoT and 5G NR architecture and protocol stack.
- Good knowledge of 3GPP Standards (Rel-15/16/17/18).
- Hands-on experience in LTE Layer-2 (MAC/RLC/PDCP) development.
- Robust proficiency in C/C++ programming.
- Good understanding of multi-threading and concurrency.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Experience using Wireshark, protocol analysers, and log analysis tools.
- Familiarity with hardware-based test tools such as TM500, UE Simulators, QXDM, and QCAT is an added advantage.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins (CI/CD), and JIRA in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain LTE/NB-IoT Layer-2 protocols (MAC, RLC, PDCP).
- Develop and enhance features including:
- eDRX




- PSM (Power Saving Mode)
- Coverage Enhancement
- Work on MAC scheduling algorithms, resource allocation, and QoS handling.
- Analyse, debug, and resolve Layer-2 protocol issues using logs, traces, and protocol analysers.
- Collaborate with Layer-1 and Layer-3 teams for seamless feature integration.
- Ensure compliance with 3GPP specifications for LTE/4G.
- Participate in system architecture discussions, code reviews, and performance optimization.
- Improve throughput, latency, and overall network reliability.
- Support field testing, interoperability testing, and customer issue resolution.
- Prepare technical documentation including design specifications and test plans.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Experience in telecom product development is highly preferred.
