The Commis I – Bakery is responsible for preparing and baking a variety of bakery products while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, food safety, and hygiene. The role supports the bakery team in daily production and ensures timely availability of fresh products.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and bake bread, buns, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other bakery products according to standard recipes.
Ensure consistency in product quality, taste, and presentation.
Measure, mix, proof, bake, and decorate bakery items as required.
Monitor oven temperatures and baking times for optimal results.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery work area and equipment.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times.
Check the quality and freshness of raw materials before use.
Assist in stock control and report shortages or wastage to the Bakery Chef.
Store ingredients and finished products correctly to maintain quality.
Support senior chefs in current product development and daily production planning.
Minimize food wastage and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
Requirements
Certificate or Diploma in Bakery & Confectionery or Hotel Management.
2–4 years of experience in a bakery production environment.
Good knowledge of bakery techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and in shifts.
Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
Reporting To
CDP/DCDP – Bakery / Executive Chef
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
