Job Description
The Formwork Manager shall be responsible for planning, design coordination, execution, monitoring, and optimization of all formwork and falsework activities related to elevated metro viaduct construction, including piers, pier caps, portal piers, crossheads, parapets, station structures, and other reinforced concrete works. The role requires ensuring safe, productive, and timely execution while maintaining quality and cost targets.
Planning & Execution
- Prepare and implement formwork strategy for all structural elements of the elevated metro project.
- Develop formwork deployment plans in line with project schedules and construction sequences.
- Plan utilization, movement, and optimization of formwork systems across multiple work fronts.
- Ensure availability of formwork materials and accessories to meet construction targets.
- Coordinate with construction, engineering, and precast teams for uninterrupted execution.
Technical Management
- Review and approve formwork drawings, falsework layouts, and erection methodologies.
- Ensure formwork systems comply with approved drawings, design loads, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with design consultants and engineering teams for resolving formwork-related technical issues.
- Review stability calculations, staging arrangements, and load transfer mechanisms.
Structural Works Management
Manage formwork systems for:
- Pile caps and foundations.
- Circular and rectangular piers.
- Pier caps and crossheads.
- Portal piers.
- U-Girder and I-Girder bearing pedestals.
- Viaduct deck slab works.
- Station structural components.
- Staircases, parapets, crash barriers, and miscellaneous RCC structures.
