Hiring: Psychiatrist – Dementia Care

Full-Time | Senior Clinical Role | Immediate Appointment

Our services include memory clinics, residential and day care facilities, caregiver support, dementia risk reduction programmes, and community outreach initiatives.

We are seeking a compassionate, clinically strong, and forward-thinking Psychiatrist to join us as Technical Lead – Dementia Care. This is a unique leadership opportunity to shape high-impact services, mentor interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to setting national benchmarks in dementia care

Key Responsibilities

- Provide clinical leadership and strategic direction for dementia care services across the Trust
- Deliver psychiatric care through memory clinics and oversee residents in residential and day care facilities
- Support the development and expansion of accessible, equitable dementia care models
- Ensure adherence to NABH quality standards and MHA, KSMHA, statutory requirements
- Strengthen training and capacity-building programmes for caregivers and healthcare professionals
- Initiate and guide research in dementia care and service delivery




- Actively participate in clinical reviews, interdisciplinary discussions, and caregiver engagement

Strategic Project Involvement

NMT is developing Smriti Gram near Doddaballapur, Bangalore—an ambitious, landmark dementia care ecosystem envisioned as a national model.
The selected candidate will play a key role in shaping this project, including guiding the integration of technology and telemedicine solutions while maintaining the highest standards of person-centred care.

We are looking for a candidate with a long-term commitment to dementia care someone who views this not merely as a position, but as a career path they wish to grow in alongside NMT.

Candidate Profile

- Postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry with a valid licence to practice in Karnataka
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in psychiatry (preference for geriatric psychiatry)
- Demonstrated commitment to dementia care as a long-term professional focus
- Strong leadership, clinical judgement, and cooperative skills

Role Details

- Location: Kasturinagar, Bangalore
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Compensation: ₹20 LPA (CTC), commensurate with experience
