POSITION SUMMARY:

BOT VFX, a visual effects services company with global clients, is looking for a Showreel Editor as a full-time Permanent role. The position is based out of Chennai.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conceptualizing and editing trailer-style showreels, teasers, and promotional videos to showcase studio capabilities.
- Identifying emotional and visual arcs within raw VFX content to translate them into compelling cinematic narratives.
- Sourcing and selecting music, sound design, and voiceovers to build emotional resonance and high-impact pacing.
- Cutting fast-paced, rhythmic edits that align with movie trailer and campaign promo standards.
- Collaborating with the Creative Head and Supervisors to identify and curate reel-worthy material from various projects.
- Performing light to mid-level color grading and look development to maintain cinematic consistency across edits.
- Managing multiple edit versions and organized project files while delivering high-quality outputs on tight timelines.





REQUIRED SKILLS

- 3–5 years of professional experience in trailer editing, promo editing, or high-end creative video editing.
- Strong command over Adobe Premiere Pro; proficiency in DaVinci Resolve is considered a plus.
- Deep understanding of pacing, timing, sound sync, and the use of LUTs for cinematic grading.
- Familiarity with VFX content and the general post-production pipeline is an advantage.
- Proven ability to create emotionally charged edits through music, dialogue, and rhythmic storytelling.
- Resourceful and proactive in sourcing the right audio elements to elevate visual energy.
- Team player who thrives under feedback and possesses a robust sense of aesthetics and cinematic design.
- Keen eye for detail, visual rhythm, and the ability to work effectively under tight turnarounds.
