Project Role Description : Write the software that powers and operates a silicon chip. Develop pre-silicon firmware and software with a direct interface to hardware. Integrate and develop C tests/APIs and software build flow. Perform design and code reviews. Test and validate product implementations.

Summary:
As a Silicon Firmware and Embedded Engineer, a typical day involves writing and developing software that directly controls and operates silicon chips. This role includes creating firmware before silicon fabrication, closely interfacing software with hardware components, and integrating various tests and application programming interfaces. The engineer also participates in software build processes, conducts thorough design and code reviews, and rigorously tests and validates product implementations to ensure functionality and reliability. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to align software with hardware specifications is an essential part of daily activities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of firmware and silicon components.
- Document design decisions and test results to support knowledge sharing and future development.
- Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support in understanding embedded systems concepts.
- Continuously improve firmware development processes to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Qualified & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Embedded C.
- Experience with low-level hardware interfacing and debugging techniques.
- Strong understanding of embedded system architecture and real-time operating systems.
- Familiarity with software build systems and version control tools.
- Ability to perform detailed code reviews and maintain high coding standards.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and validation processes for embedded software.
