We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced General Manager – Milk Procurement to lead our procurement operations in Tamil Nadu.

Position Overview

The General Manager – Milk Procurement will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational excellence across the company's milk procurement network. This role requires an accomplished professional with extensive experience in large-scale milk sourcing, farmer engagement, procurement planning, quality management, and team leadership.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving procurement growth, ensuring uninterrupted supply of high-quality raw milk, strengthening farmer partnerships, optimizing procurement costs, and leading cross-functional collaboration to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute the company's milk procurement strategy in alignment with business growth objectives.
- Lead and manage end-to-end milk procurement operations across Tamil Nadu.
- Build, expand, and strengthen sustainable milk procurement networks and collection infrastructure.
- Develop long-term relationships with dairy farmers, producer groups, cooperatives, societies, and strategic partners.
- Ensure consistent procurement of high-quality milk while maintaining cost efficiency and supply reliability.




- Drive procurement volume growth through strategic expansion into recent procurement regions.
- Monitor procurement performance through KPIs, analytics, and operational dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
- Lead procurement budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategy, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and Sales teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing procurement teams, regional managers, and field executives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through digitalization, automation, and process optimization.
- Identify market trends, competitor activities, procurement risks, and growth opportunities.
- Represent the organization with government agencies, regulatory authorities, dairy institutions, and industry stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, innovation, and ethical business practices.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Dairy Technology, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
- MBA or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Dairy Management, or Supply Chain Management is preferred.

Experience

- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in milk procurement within a reputed dairy organization.
- Proven experience in leading large-scale procurement operations with significant daily milk procurement volumes.




- Strong understanding of dairy procurement practices, quality systems, and supply chain management.
- Experience in managing geographically dispersed procurement teams.
- Demonstrated success in farmer network development, procurement expansion, and operational leadership.
