Qualifications

The ideal candidate should hold an LLB or an equivalent qualification with a focus on Intellectual Property Law and possess 5–7 years of experience in IP matters, including prosecution, oppositions, litigation, and enforcement. The role requires experience in managing cases before High Courts, District Courts, and the Trademark Registry. Candidates must demonstrate robust drafting, negotiation, and client management skills, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

- IP Prosecution & Oppositions: Handle trademark filings, prosecution, and opposition proceedings, as well as advise on trademark availability and infringement.
- IP Litigation & Enforcement:



Represent clients in IP-related litigation (trademarks, copyrights, patents) and criminal enforcement actions such as copyright infringement.
- Legal Advisory: Provide strategic guidance on IP protection, portfolio management, licensing, and commercialization of IP rights.
- Drafting & Documentation: Draft and negotiate IP contracts, including licensing and assignment agreements.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain client relationships, offering proactive, tailored legal solutions.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior associates and contribute to the growth of the IP practice
