The Finance Manager supports the UK, Portugal, and India finance teams by managing month-end accounting activities and ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of financial data. This is a broad, hands-on role suited to a detail-oriented accounting qualified who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working cross-functionally with international teams.

The role is based in the Indian office and works closely with the UK finance team. Alignment with UK working hours is expected during the month-end closing period (typically the first 7–8 working days of the month), with flexibility outside of this period.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute month-end close activities for UK, Portugal, and India entities in line with agreed schedules
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records across all entities
- Support VAT and other tax return preparation in accordance with UK GAAP and applicable regulations
- Oversight and management of Indian tax, accounting, and audit matters handled by the local firm
- Finance-related administration for the Indian office, including expense and invoice processing
- Day-to-day management and oversight of finance team members outsourced from the local firm
- Assist with financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis as required
- Collaborate with the UK finance team on process improvements and reporting enhancements
- Manage ad-hoc tasks and analysis as assigned by the line manager
- Maintain organised documentation and audit-ready records at all times

Required Skills & Experience

- ACCA qualification or equivalent accountancy certification
- Sound understanding of UK GAAP and VAT principles (UK VAT training can be provided if required)
- Knowledge of Indian tax, audit, and accounting rules is essential
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex workings and presentation of financial data
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information clearly




- Experience in a fast-paced organisation with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong organisational skills with a disciplined approach to deadline management

Desirable

- Experience working with Workday Financials
- Exposure to multi-entity or international accounting environments
- Familiarity with Portugal accounting or tax requirements
- Experience managing or overseeing outsourced finance team members
