Job Summary:
Develop students in sport or athletic discipline based on their interest, capabilities and institutions priority. Reports to the Principal

Responsibilities:
Meets the objectives & targets set by the institution / department in achieving sports excellence.

Maintains discipline among students in terms of grooming, dress code, punctuality and skilled conduct in common places.

Maintains sports infrastructure in the premises with available resources.

Procures sports and fitness equipment in coordination with Admin. Manager following due processes.

Provides general fitness coaching to all students during the Physical training hours, including yoga.

Identifies students with physical capability, skill and interest in sport disciplines targeted by the institution.

Coaches students in their respective game or athletic event.

Provides recommendations to the management on candidates with sporting skills for Admission under Sports scholarship.

Maintains data on the physical parameters of students.

Organizes sports competitions sponsored or hosted by the institution.

Leads conduct of internal sports competitions and Sports day event.





Registers students for external competitions.

Accompanies students to off-site competitions..

Performs assigned role in the college cultural events, exhibitions, convocation, alumni events etc.

Provides inputs for financial budgeting process with respect to sports-gear, sports infrastructure development / maintenance, participation in external competitions and sports day.

Procures sports-gear, personal kits and other associated materials in coordination with Admin, Manager.

Maintains inventory of gym equipment and sports gear.

Participates in the student admission process and associated campaigns.

Develops and presents periodic sports performance data and reports.

Adheres to the policies and systems of the institution.

Performs any other responsibility or task assigned by the Principal or HOD.

Educational Qualification:
Degree in any discipline along with bachelor or master degree in Physical Education.

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years experience in any higher secondary school or college. Freshers may be considered in case of exceptional candidates. Competency in at least 2 outdoor games and 2 track / field events preferred.
