Job Summary
We are looking for a PCMM Engineer – Fresher to support dimensional inspection and measurement activities using Portable Coordinate Measuring Machines (PCMM). The candidate will receive practical training in PCMM operation, measurement techniques, GD&T;, drawing interpretation, and inspection reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Portable CMM / PCMM equipment for dimensional inspection.
- Perform measurement and inspection as per customer drawings and specifications.
- Understand and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T;.
- Perform component alignment and establish measurement references.
- Assist in inspection programming and measurement routines.
- Handle probes, accessories, and PCMM equipment safely.
- Perform dimensional inspection of components at customer sites.
- Prepare inspection and measurement reports.
- Identify dimensional deviations and communicate findings to the concerned team.
- Maintain proper documentation of inspection results.
- Follow company SOPs, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Support senior engineers during customer projects and site assignments.
- Travel to customer locations as required.
Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of PCMM / Portable CMM.
- Basic understanding of CMM measurement principles.
- Knowledge of GD&T; and engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of dimensions, tolerances, and datums.
- Understanding of 3-2-1 alignment / datum alignment.
- Basic knowledge of inspection and measurement instruments.
- Willingness to learn PCMM software and measurement techniques.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and report preparation.
