What Youll Be Doing (Position Summary):

TheQA Lead Manageris accountable for shaping and executing a forward-thinking testing strategy with a strong emphasis on automation and AI-driven solutions. This role translates business requirements into robust, automated test scenarios and scripts, ensuring comprehensive Development Integration Testing (DIT) across a variety of platforms. The incumbent champions the adoption of advanced automation frameworks and AI technologies,maintainingexceptional quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

How Youll Succeed (Responsibilities):

Automation-Driven Testing Strategy:

- Define, document, and continuously enhance the testing strategy with a primary focus on automation and AI integration to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and coverage.

Comprehensive Automated DIT:

- Ensure thorough Development Integration Testing across platforms by implementing andmaintainingadvanced automation frameworks and AI-powered testing tools.

Innovation in Automation:

- Proactively research, evaluate, and integrate emerging automation and AI technologies to strengthen the automation landscape and drive continuous improvement.

People Leadership:

- Direct, motivate, and develop staff to foster a high-performance culture.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to team members.

People Management:

- Setappropriate contextwhen assigning work to ensure that individuals roles support the achievement of the business units priorities and CIBCs overall goals.
- Build team and individual capabilities byprovidingdevelopment opportunities such as job shadowing, special projects, and training .
- Manage performance by providing fair andaccurateformal and informal feedback,identifyingand removing obstacles toperformanceand by explaining how performance expectations align with business priorities.
- Create a positive work environment and being an effective role model by championing CIBCs mission,visionand values.
- Ensure compliance with policies, standards,guidelinesand controls by applying the policies and controls fairly and consistently so employees understand what to expect.

Complex Issue Resolution:

- Utilize automation and AI-based analytics toidentify, diagnose,



and resolve complex issuesencounteredduring test execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.

Quality Assurance Leadership:

- Advocate for automation best practices and AI-driven quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Risk & Escalation Management:

- Proactivelyidentifyrisks and escalate concerns,leveragingAI-driven insights to inform decision-making and stakeholder communication.

Experience: 9 - 12 years of experience

Who You Are (Skills / Qualifications):

Must Have Skills:

- Minimum 10+years of overall experience in Software Testing, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies, QA approaches, and tools, with 3 - 5 years in people management.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in driving the vision, planning and execution of Automation strategy for critical and complex applications comprising Web Services, API, gRPC and UI.
- Hands on experience with Java or Python or scripting languages.
- Experience working with tools and technologies namely Jira Confluence, ALM,ParasoftSOAtest(or SOAP UI or Post Man), Selenium,WebServices(SOAP/REST), UI, SQL / DB, and ETL testing
- Strongexpertisein managing automation teams and developing test strategies using leading automation frameworks (eg, Selenium, Data driven) and AI-powered testing tools.
- Hands-on experience with AI in software testing, such as test case generation, defect prediction, and intelligent test execution.
- Knowledge of AML / ITC and experience with regulatory projects / programs is a plus.
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, ora relatedfield.
- Up-to-date knowledge of technology advancements and trends in test automation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey detailed information in an impactful manner.
- Demonstrated commitment to CIBCs values: trust, teamwork, and accountability.
