About the Role:

Manager, Product & Engineering CDP Engineering leads a high-performing offshore data engineering team, accountable for delivering the Customer Data Platform (CDP) capabilities that power accurate, trusted, real-time customer profiles for the entire US adult population. This role manages cross-functional teams of data engineers andarchitects, deliver high-quality data platform outcomes. The Manager is accountable for building and sustaining a strong, motivated data engineering team through hiring, development, and retention. Success is measured by team engagement and growth, delivery reliability, engineering quality, and measurable progress toward elevating CDP to a Tier 1 platform supporting real-time customer intelligence. This role strengthens organizational capabilities by ensuring reliable platform functionality and productive partnerships with customers and business partners.

What Youll Do:

Team Leadership & Culture

- Lead and manage CDP engineering teams to deliver results through clear direction, feedback, and performance management
- Build and sustain a highly motivated, high-performing data engineering team creating an environment where engineers grow, collaborate, and take pride in the quality and impact of their work
- Invest in the professional development of every team member: set clear goals, provide regular coaching, create stretch opportunities, and build a culture of continuous learning
- Recruit, hire, and onboard qualified data engineering team members, including contract staff as needed, to strengthen CDP platform delivery
- Foster strong collaboration across CDP product, data engineering, and architecture stakeholder teams to achieve shared outcomes

Delivery & Execution

- Own offshore engineering delivery for the CDP squad ensuring sprint commitments are met, quality bars are upheld, and delivery velocity continuously improves
- Partner with US-based CDP Product, Architecture, and Engineering leads to translate roadmap priorities into well-scoped, executable work for the GCC team
- Partner with engineering, architecture, and delivery teams to ensure effective Agile execution and alignment to priorities
- Drive continuous improvement in development practices across technical disciplines, including processes, tooling, engineering standards, and security




- Oversee technical vendor relationships to influence feature development and functionality for future platform releases

Platform & Engineering Quality

- Serve as the delivery bridge between the GCC team and the CDP architecture vision ensuring the team understands the platform direction, works to the right standards, and delivers production-grade solutions
- Champion a culture of engineering excellence: code quality, testing, observability, and continuous improvement across all CDP delivery workstreams
- Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to remove blockers, resolve cross-squad dependencies, and keep the team focused on high-impact delivery

What Youll Bring:

- Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 1114 years of relevant experience in data engineering, data platform engineering, or technology delivery environments
- Proven people management experience leading Data Engineers, Senior Engineers, or cross-functional delivery teams
- Strong experience managing teams through coaching, performance management, goal setting, and career development
- Deep experience operating in Agile software data platform development environments
- A genuine passion for team building you lead with people first, and measure your success by the growth, engagement, and output of your team
- Sufficient technical fluency in data engineering to engage credibly with engineers, understand trade-offs, and hold the team to a quality bar without needing to be a hands-on practitioner yourself
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across leadership and partner organizations

Delivery & Agile Execution

- Working knowledge of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements definition, design, development, testing, deployment, and support
- Strong experience leading Agile delivery, including backlog ownership, sprint planning, refinement, prioritization, and execution
- Experience delivering large and complex business and technology initiatives
- Experience developing Initiatives, Features,



and User Stories using successive elaboration for DevOps teams
- Proficiency with product and collaboration tools: Microsoft Office, Jira, and Confluence for backlog management, delivery tracking, and documentation
- Robust requirements elicitation and technical writing skills, producing clear and maintainable documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with leadership while driving collaboration and alignment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and synthesize performance data

CDP & Data Domain Awareness

- The following represents the technical landscape this manager will operate in. Deep hands-on expertise is not required; what matters is sufficient familiarity to lead engineers confidently, evaluate trade-offs, and engage meaningfully with architects and senior engineers.
- Familiarity with Customer Data Platform (CDP) concepts: Customer 360, identity resolution, profile unification, and customer data lifecycle enough to understand what the team is building and why it matters
- Awareness of modern data platform architecture: cloud data platforms (Azure, Databricks, Snowflake), batch and near-real-time pipelines, and data quality principles
- Conceptual understanding of data governance: data lineage, metadata management, access control, and compliance-aligned data handling
- Awareness of emerging platform directions: Agentic AI, real-time customer intelligence, and ML-enabled data products sufficient to articulate the teams contribution to these goals

Privacy & Compliance:

- Experience and privacy domain knowledge in launching Privacy & Compliance products and technology solutions supporting regulations such as CCPA, CPRA, GDPR, TCPA
- Certifications in SAFe Agile and IAPP are highly preferred
- US Privacy Certifications: CIPP, CIPM, and CIPT

Nice to Have:

- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Scrum Product Owner Certification (CSPO)
- Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or other relevant Agile certifications
- Prior hands-on experience in data engineering, data architecture, or data platform development even if no longer in a technical role
- Familiarity with enterprise CDP platforms
- Experience managing teams that delivered real-time or event-driven data solutions at scale
- Experience in managing tier 1 platform
- Exposure to privacy-by-design principles within a CDP or customer data context
- Broader technical certifications aligned to data platform or cloud engineering disciplines
- Experience supporting data-driven or analytics-enabled product platforms
