Bioscan Research designs and manufactures its technology in-house, combining proprietary optical systems, embedded electronics, and advanced signal processing with clinical validation in government hospitals, defence institutions, and tertiary care centres. Guided by scientific integrity and a multidisciplinary team across biomedical engineering, clinical research, and regulatory science, the organisation aims to strengthen emergency and neurocritical care infrastructure in India and beyond.

Role Summary:

The Clinical Strategy, Health Economics & Market Access Associate will support the development of clinically relevant and commercially successful medical devices by integrating clinical insights, health economic evidence, and market access strategies. The role will work closely with clinicians, engineers, product development, clinical affairs, regulatory, and commercial teams to ensure Bioscan's products address real-world healthcare needs and deliver measurable value to patients, providers, and healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities:

-- Clinical Strategy

- Conduct literature reviews and clinical landscape assessments.
- Engage with clinicians, hospitals, EMS providers, and healthcare stakeholders to identify unmet clinical needs.
- Perform Voice of Customer (VoC) interviews and document user requirements.
- Support development of Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and Target Product Profiles (TPPs).




- Evaluate clinical workflows and recommend product improvements.

-- Health Economics & Outcome Research (HEOR)

- Develop health economic models, including cost-effectiveness, budget impact, and return-on-investment analyses.
- Quantify clinical and economic value through workflow, cost, and outcome assessments.
- Generate evidence supporting hospital procurement, pricing, reimbursement, and adoption.
- Support preparation of value dossiers and health-economic publications.

-- Market Access & Commercial Strategy

- Conduct market sizing, segmentation, and competitive analysis.
- Assess reimbursement pathways and procurement mechanisms across target markets.
- Support pricing strategy and value-based pricing models.
- Develop market access strategies for hospitals, government agencies, military, ambulance services, and sports medicine organisations.
- Assist in commercialisation planning and go-to-market strategy.

-- Regulatory Strategy & Clinical Documentation

- Support development of intended use statements, indications for use, clinical claims, and product positioning from a clinical and evidence perspective.
- Prepare literature reviews, clinical evidence summaries, benefit-risk analyses, and state-of-the-art reviews to support regulatory submissions.
- Contribute to Clinical Evaluation Reports (CERs), Clinical Evaluation Plans (CEPs), Performance Evaluation documentation, Clinical Performance Reports, and post-market clinical evidence generation.
- Support preparation of regulatory documentation related to clinical validation, product claims, and performance evaluation.
- Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs to ensure clinical evidence aligns with CDSCO, FDA, CE MDR,



and other international regulatory requirements.

-- Clinical Evidence & Product Development

- Support planning of clinical studies, pilot evaluations and evidence-generation activities.
- Review scientific literature and benchmark competing technologies.
- Translate clinical and market insights into product development recommendations.
- Work with engineering and AI teams to ensure products align with customer needs.

-- Strategic & Business Support

- Prepare market research reports, competitive intelligence, business cases, and strategic presentations.
- Support grant applications, investor presentations, reimbursement dossiers, partnership proposals, and business development initiatives.
- Represent Bioscan at conferences, workshops, customer meetings, and clinician engagements, and industry events

Skills & Experience:

- Knowledge of clinical research methodologies, evidence generation, and systematic literature reviews.
- Understanding of Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR), market access, reimbursement, and value-based healthcare.
- Experience in market research, customer discovery, competitive intelligence, and product strategy.
- Familiarity with medical device regulatory frameworks, including CDSCO, FDA, CE MDR, ISO 13485, and ISO 14155.
- Experience preparing scientific, technical, clinical, and regulatory documentation for medical devices.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with statistical analysis tools is desirable.
- Excellent scientific writing, presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with clinicians, hospitals, EMS providers, healthcare organisations, industry partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Experience working in medical devices, diagnostics, digital health, healthcare consulting, clinical research, or MedTech startups is preferred.
- Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple cross-functional initiatives simultaneously.
