- Role Purpose: Evaluate loan applications and financial data to guide sound, profitable, and secure lending decisions.
- Credit Evaluation: Analyze credit reports, income histories, and tax returns to accurately determine borrower creditworthiness.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential default risks and recommend appropriate loan limits, structures, and interest rates.
- Compliance Checking: Ensure all loan files and lending practices strictly adhere to federal, state, and internal regulations.
- Documentation: Meticulously verify the accuracy of all applicant documents and maintain highly organized loan files.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with underwriters, loan officers, and clients to resolve discrepancies and speed up approvals.
- Portfolio Monitoring:
Assist in reviewing active loan portfolios to track overall performance and spot early signs of delinquency.
- Experience Needed: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics, plus 2+ years of experience in credit analysis or banking.
- Key Skills: Exceptional numerical accuracy, sharp analytical thinking, and proficiency with Loan Origination Software (LOS).
