We're assembling a high-calibre founding engineering team to build a scalable, AI-first SaaS platform capable of serving enterprises across India and beyond.

The Opportunity

As the Lead AI, Data & Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building the intelligence layer that powers Business Sarthi.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll architect AI-powered capabilities, enterprise data platforms, analytics, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), intelligent document processing, and decision-support systems.

You will work directly with the founders and collaborate with Platform and Product Engineering teams to create intelligent features that differentiate Business Sarthi in the market.

Key Responsibilities

AI Engineering

- Design and build AI-powered enterprise solutions using modern Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for document intelligence.
- Integrate AI services such as Google Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, Llama, and similar enterprise models.
- Design prompt engineering, AI orchestration, and intelligent workflow automation.
- Improve AI response quality, accuracy, and explainability.

Data Engineering

- Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases for large-scale enterprise applications.
- Build scalable data models for multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
- Optimize SQL queries, indexing, partitioning, JSONB structures, and database performance.
- Develop secure and scalable data processing pipelines.

Enterprise Search & Knowledge Intelligence

- Design and manage OpenSearch / Elasticsearch environments.
- Build hybrid search capabilities combining keyword and semantic search.




- Develop enterprise knowledge retrieval and intelligent document discovery.
- Optimize indexing strategies and retrieval relevance.

Analytics & Business Intelligence

- Build scalable analytics models and reporting frameworks.
- Design real-time dashboards and business intelligence pipelines.
- Enable AI-powered recommendations and decision-support capabilities.
- Develop data aggregation and analytical processing workflows.

Intelligent Document Processing

- Build ingestion pipelines for PDFs, Office documents, OCR outputs, APIs, and structured datasets.
- Design document chunking, embedding generation, metadata extraction, and semantic indexing.
- Support intelligent tender analysis, compliance checking, and document summarization.

Engineering Leadership

- Mentor engineers on AI, data engineering, and analytics best practices.
- Drive architecture discussions and technical strategy.
- Collaborate with Product, Platform, and Engineering teams.
- Define engineering standards for AI quality, data governance, and system performance.

Required Experience

- 7–10 years of experience in AI Engineering, Data Engineering, Backend Engineering, or Enterprise Analytics.
- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL / Mongo DB and enterprise database design.
- Experience building AI-powered applications using LLMs.
- Hands-on experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.
- Experience designing scalable enterprise data platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native application architecture and distributed systems.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Notice Period: Immediate to 60 days preferred
- Location: Delhi NCR preferred (or willing to relocate to Gurugram)
- Education: B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Pay: ₹2,100,000.00 - ₹3,200,000.00 per year
