Position: Finance Expert — FP&A;, Controller & Operating Finance

Type:Contract

Compensation:$95–$125/hour

Location:Remote

Role Responsibilities

- Build and assess budgets, forecasts, scenario models, and variance analyses.
- Develop or review board reporting, KPI definitions, cohort analysis, and unit economics.
- Analyze revenue, pipeline, operating drivers, and cross-functional planning assumptions.
- Evaluate close processes, consolidations, revenue recognition, and internal controls.
- Identify calculation errors, inconsistent definitions, weak assumptions, and unsupported management conclusions.
- Explain findings through clear, structured written reasoning.

Qualifications

Must-Have

- 5–10 years of relevant FP&A; experience or 6–12 years of relevant controllership experience for the practitioner track; 10–18 years for the senior reviewer track.
- Professional experience in FP&A;,



strategic finance, RevOps, business intelligence, controllership, accounting, or a closely related operating-finance role.
- Strong financial modeling, management reporting, and business-partnering skills.
- CPA certification is strongly preferred for accounting and controllership-focused work.
- Excellent written communication and the ability to connect financial results to operational drivers.
- Experience reviewing teams work, owning a close, or presenting to senior leadership is especially valuable for the senior track.
