Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced L2 AML Transaction Monitoring Investigator with robust knowledge of AML compliance, transaction monitoring investigations, and SAR/STR processes. The candidate will perform deep-dive investigations on escalated alerts, identify suspicious transaction patterns, and support regulatory reporting across US and International banking environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed investigations on escalated AML transaction monitoring alerts.

• Perform end-to-end money flow analysis to identify suspicious activities and unusual transaction patterns.

• Review customer KYC/CDD/EDD information, source of funds, and customer transactional behavior.

• Conduct adverse media screening and analyze customer risk profiles.

• Identify and document AML typologies such as smurfing, layering, structuring, and other suspicious activities.

• Prepare detailed case narratives and maintain accurate investigation documentation.

• Support preparation and escalation of SARs/STRs.





• Collaborate with compliance, fraud, onboarding, and operations teams.

• Provide feedback to L1 analysts.

• Maintain audit-ready documentation and timely case closure.

Required Skills

• AML Transaction Monitoring investigations.

• SAR/STR reporting knowledge.

• Retail, Commercial, or Correspondent Banking experience.

• AML typologies, financial crime risk, suspicious transaction indicators.

• KYC, CDD, EDD, adverse media screening.

• Strong analytical, investigative, documentation, and case writing skills.

• Ability to independently handle complex AML cases.

• Familiarity with AML tools and case management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• US and International AML investigation experience.

• Knowledge of global AML regulations and compliance standards.

• CAMS certification or equivalent is an added advantage
