Position : Design Engineer
Experience: 4.5+ years of hands on product design development experience
Qualification: BE/B,Tech Mechanical Engineering
Location : Cochin
Salary: 10 Lacs Key Requirements:
- Solid experience in sheet metal design.
- Proficiency in Creo (PTC Creo Parametric) for 3D modeling and drafting.
- Experience in New Product Development (NPD) from concept through production.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, tolerances, GD&T;, and DFM/DFA principles.
- Experience with product validation, prototyping, and engineering change management.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and customers.
- Enclosure design experience (electronic, industrial, telecom, or server enclosures) is an added advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop sheet metal components, assemblies, and enclosures.
- Create 3D models, detailed drawings,



and BOMs using Creo.
- Participate in NPD projects from requirement gathering to product launch.
- Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and feasibility studies.
- Coordinate prototype builds and testing activities.
- Support manufacturing teams during product industrialization.
- Implement engineering changes and continuous product improvements.
Preferred Skills:
- Sheet metal fabrication knowledge (bending, punching, laser cutting, welding).
- Enclosure design for electronics, telecom, networking, or industrial equipment.
- PLM/PDM systems experience (e.g., Windchill).
- Knowledge of EMC/EMI considerations for enclosure design.
- FEA/simulation exposure is beneficial.
