Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop fire protection systems including sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, and suppression systems.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD/Revit.
- Perform hydraulic calculations for sprinkler and hydrant systems using recognized tools/software.
- Ensure designs comply with NFPA, NBC, FM Global, and other applicable standards.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines to ensure smooth integration.
- Prepare BOQ, equipment specifications, and data sheets for tender and execution.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and vendor documents.
- Liaise with consultants, clients, and local fire authorities for design approval.
- Support the BIM team with inputs for accurate 3D modeling and coordination.
- Ensure quality, safety, and documentation are maintained throughout project stages.

Skills & Software Knowledge

- Strong knowledge of NFPA / NBC standards and fire safety codes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP,



and hydraulic calculation software (e.g., Elite Fire, HASS, or similar).
- Experience in wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and clean agent systems.
- Ability to conduct site coordination and technical problem-solving.
- Excellent understanding of fire pumps, sprinklers, valves, and control systems.
- Solid communication and documentation skills.

Qualification

- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Fire & Safety Engineering.
- Certification in Fire Protection Design / NFPA (Advantage).
- 3–10 years of experience in Fire Protection System design, installation, or coordination.

Preferred Experience

- Experience with commercial, industrial, residential, or healthcare projects.
- Hands-on experience in testing, commissioning, and maintenance of fire protection systems.
- Familiarity with BIM-based coordination and as-built documentation.
