Job Title: Design Engineer – NPD / SPM Design

Job Summary:

The Design Engineer – NPD / SPM Design is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing recent products and special-purpose machines in accordance with customer requirements and organizational standards. The role involves end-to-end design activities, including concept development, 3D modeling, detailing, prototyping, and coordination with cross-functional teams for product execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop new product designs based on customer requirements and market needs.
- Design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) for industrial applications.
- Prepare concept designs, 3D models, and detailed engineering drawings using CAD software.
- Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety norms, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams for feasibility and improvements.
- Support prototype development, testing, and validation of new products.
- Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), technical documentation, and design records.
- Participate in design reviews, client discussions, and project meetings.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, design optimisation, and process improvement.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications:



Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

- 15-20 years of experience in NPD or SPM design (Freshers / 1-4 years’ experience candidates with strong design skills may also be considered)

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, etc.)
- Knowledge of machine design, mechanical components, and manufacturing processes
- Experience in SPM design, automation systems, or industrial equipment design
- Familiarity with GD&T;, tolerance stack-up, and material properties
- Basic knowledge of FEA / simulation tools (preferred)

Pay: ₹65,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
