Position - Platform Engineer (Real-time Monitoring & Eventing)
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Platform Engineer to design, develop, and maintain a robust real-time monitoring platform. This critical role involves building systems to capture crucial status events, generate immediate notifications, and provide insightful dashboards to ensure operational excellence and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect & Design: Design and implement a scalable, high-performance real-time event capture and processing system.
- Core Development: Develop backend services and APIs using either .NET or Python, and/or build interactive front-end dashboards with React.
- Event Ingestion: Establish robust mechanisms for capturing diverse status events from various sources in real-time.
- Notification Management: Implement and configure automated alert systems to notify stakeholders of critical events via preferred channels (e.g., email, PagerDuty, Slack).
- Dashboard Development: Create energetic and user-friendly dashboards to visualize real-time event streams,



historical trends, and system health metrics.
- Data Persistence: Design, optimize, and manage event data storage solutions, primarily utilizing PostgreSQL.
- Message Broker Integration: Leverage and configure message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) to ensure reliable, high-throughput event delivery and processing.
- HL7 Interpretation: Apply basic understanding of HL7 to correctly interpret and integrate healthcare-related event messages where applicable.
- System Reliability: Monitor the monitoring platform itself, ensuring its stability, performance, and availability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering teams to understand monitoring requirements and integrate the tool effectively into existing infrastructure.
