Main Responsibilities

- Set up VMC/CNC machines according to engineering drawings and job sheets
- Install tools, fixtures, clamps, and workpieces
- Set tool offsets and work coordinates (G54–G59)
- Load and edit CNC programs (Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi controls)
- Perform trial runs and first-piece inspection
- Check dimensions using:
- Vernier caliper
- Micrometer
- Height gauge
- Bore gauge
- Monitor machining quality and cycle time
- Troubleshoot machine or tooling issues
- Maintain machine cleanliness and follow 5S/safety standards
- Coordinate with operators, programmers, and quality teams

Required Skills

- Knowledge of CNC/VMC machine setup
- Understanding of G-code and M-code
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Tool selection and fixture setting
- Basic machine maintenance
- Knowledge of tolerances and surface finish

Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering
- 1–5+ years experience in CNC/VMC machining




- Experience with Fanuc/Mitsubishi/Siemens controls preferred

Salary in India

- Fresher: ₹15,000–₹22,000/month
- Experienced Setter: ₹25,000–₹40,000/month
- Programmer + Setter: ₹40,000+/month depending on skill
