Project Role Description : Write the software that powers and operates a silicon chip. Develop pre-silicon firmware and software with a direct interface to hardware. Integrate and develop C tests/APIs and software build flow. Perform design and code reviews. Test and validate product implementations.

Summary:
As a Silicon Firmware and Embedded Engineer, a typical day involves writing and developing software that directly controls and operates silicon chips. This role includes creating firmware before silicon fabrication, working closely with hardware interfaces, and integrating various tests and application programming interfaces. The engineer also participates in software build processes, conducts thorough design and code reviews, and performs testing and validation to ensure the product meets required specifications and quality standards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to refine and enhance product implementations is an essential part of daily activities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration between firmware and silicon components.
- Document design decisions and test results to support knowledge sharing and future development.
- Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support in understanding firmware development processes.
- Continuously improve firmware performance and reliability through iterative testing and debugging.
Skilled & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Embedded C.
- Experience with low-level hardware interfacing and debugging techniques.
- Familiarity with software build systems and version control tools.
- Ability to perform detailed code reviews and adhere to coding standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills related to embedded system challenges.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and validation processes for embedded software.
Additional Information:
