The successful candidate will join the existing dedicated, adaptable and pragmatic team

of software developers, upholding great values and principles ensuring we continue

to be a friendly team working within superb agile methodology.

The business hours are 09:00 to 17:30, with the team predominately working from

home with periodic team face-to-face meetings and workshops (North London/M1

locale)

The role seeks a Node JS with TypeScript expert developer who has previous

experience in working on larger applications that can technically lead the application

implementation on all Node JS development and share expertise and knowledge

with existing team. The individual will have an exceptional technical grasp on

software development principles with excellent problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

- Write good Node JS code from an approved requirement and design in

accordance with the expected delivery timeframe and associated quality

standards, working unsupervised

- Have the ability to take an architectural/implementation plan of a project and

to help lead the development process

- Write unit tests and other automated tests




- To demonstrate working code and complete features to key stakeholders

within the team and at sprint demoes

- To understand, design and contribute to technical documentation, to help

keep it up to date and relevant

- To encourage effective means of software engineering, including (but not

limited to) pairing, code reviews and continuous delivery within the team

- To learn current programming languages and infrastructure technologies,

especially on AWS

- To introduce new skills, technologies and techniques into the team as you

learn about them

- To work with Software Engineers and Junior Software Engineers to mentor

them as they perform their day-to-day responsibilities

- Software design and development experience integrated with web services.
- Peer review software written by team members
- Contribute and drive forward to team improvement initiatives
- Contribute to team ceremonies (stand-up, sprint planning, demo,

retrospective)

- Investigation and resolution of production incidents
- Contribute to internal and external meetups

Technical Skills & Experience

Have 5 or more years commercial knowledge / experience of software development

with at least 4 years of Node JS with TypeScript development,



and ideally good

working experience of Node JS. Technical leadership and guidance in

implementation of the planned new application will be an important part of the job.

- 4+ year of working experience with Node JS and TypeScript development is a

must

- Experience of working with databases
- Have a good knowledge of unit testing frameworks and supporting

technologies.

- Have a positive level of knowledge / experience of Agile software development,

and supporting best practices: TDD, Pair Programming etc.

- Experience with Back End integration with API gateways, Rest API and Web

services is a must

- Experience with RESTful Services and OpenAPI advantageous.
- Experience of using AWS and tools such as JIRA, Confluence and GitHub
- Reactive programming with web socket will be an added advantage
- Experience in building native mobile application for IOS and Android will be

added advantage

- Ability to successfully collaborate as part of an Agile development team
- Good communication skills - written and verbal
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to engineer solutions to business

requirements.

- Good interpersonal and teamworking skills
- Ability to manage their own time and assist others to meet sprint

commitments in terms of functionality delivered

- Flexible and pragmatic with hands on approach and ready to go the extra mile
- Keen to work in an early stage “start-up” environment

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
