- Procure raw materials like HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, PP, PET, PVC, and Masterbatches.
- Source manufacturing consumables including inks, solvents, adhesives, and engineering MRO spares.
- Float RFQs/RFPs and evaluate competitive quotes from domestic and global chemical suppliers.
- Issue formal Purchase Orders (POs) via ERP ensuring strict commercial accuracy.
2. Vendor Management & Negotiation
- Negotiate pricing terms, credit cycles, and minimum order quantities (MOQs) with suppliers.
- Onboard new suppliers to reduce dependency risks on single-source materials.
- Conduct vendor audits and evaluate annual performance KPIs for quality and delivery timeliness.
3. Material Planning & Inventory Control
- Align with PPC (Production Planning & Control)
to run agile Material Requirement Planning (MRP).
- Optimize stock levels to prevent production downtime while minimizing working capital blockages.
- Track market pricing indices (Platts, ICIS, or local polymer price fluctuations) to time bulk purchases strategically.
4. Logistics, Compliance & Documentation
- Coordinate with CHA (Custom House Agents) and freight partners to handle imported polymers.
- Ensure tax compliance concerning local statutory laws, customs duties, and GST documentation.
- Resolve quality rejections by raising debit notes or coordinating replacement materials with vendors.
