Position : Mechanical Purchase Executive

Experience : 4–5 Years

Location : Sanathnagar , Hyderabad

Department : Procurement / Supply Chain

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Mechanical Purchase Executive with 4–5 years of experience in sourcing and procuring mechanical components used in precision electronic instruments such as spectrophotometers, remote controls, laboratory equipment, and other electromechanical products. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes, vendor management, cost optimization, and procurement planning.

Key Responsibilities

- Source and procure mechanical components including:

o Sheet metal and fabricated parts

o CNC machined components

o Plastic injection molded parts

o Die-cast components (Aluminium/Zinc)

o Rubber and silicone parts

o Fasteners, springs, shafts, bearings, hinges, and standard hardware

o Labels, nameplates, and cosmetic mechanical items

o Enclosures and assemblies

- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable domestic and international suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, compare commercial and technical offers, and negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and contracts.
- Work closely with Design, Mechanical Engineering, R&D;, Production, Stores, and Quality teams to ensure timely procurement of components.
- Interpret engineering drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), specifications, and technical documents to ensure correct sourcing.
- Coordinate new part development with vendors from prototype stage through production.




- Monitor supplier performance based on quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost.
- Ensure timely procurement to support production schedules while maintaining optimum inventory levels.
- Raise Purchase Orders and monitor order execution until delivery.
- Resolve supplier issues related to quality, shortages, delays, and non-conformances.
- Conduct periodic vendor audits and identify alternate sources for risk mitigation.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through value engineering, alternate materials, process improvements, and supplier negotiations.
- Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and documentation in ERP systems.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.

Required Skills

- Solid understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes including:

o CNC machining

o Sheet metal fabrication

o Injection molding

o Die casting

o Surface finishing and coatings

o Mechanical assemblies

- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T; basics.
- Good knowledge of BOM management and engineering change processes.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central, Oracle, or similar.




- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and procurement reporting.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 4–5 years of procurement experience in manufacturing industries producing electronic, analytical, medical, industrial automation, or precision instruments.

- Spectrophotometers
- Analytical instruments
- Laboratory equipment

- Industrial electronics
- Test and measurement equipment
- Consumer electronic products
- Embedded systems and control equipment

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
