Procurement Manager – Rice, Maize & Grains (Chennai)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to handle procurement of rice, maize, and other grains. The role involves sourcing, vendor management, price negotiation, procurement planning, and ensuring timely availability of quality materials at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities

Procure rice, maize, and other grain commodities from suppliers, traders, and millers.

Develop and manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing and contracts.

Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supply availability.

Coordinate with quality, warehouse, logistics, and production teams.

Ensure timely deliveries and maintain optimal inventory levels.

Prepare purchase orders, procurement reports,



and vendor records.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Commerce, Business, or related field.

5–10 years of procurement experience in rice, maize, grains, or agri-commodities.

Robust supplier network and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel.

Language proficiency - Tamil, Telugu,Kannada and hindi required
