About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager with a strong background in Leather Garment Manufacturing to lead our factory operations.

Production Manager will be responsible for production planning, manpower management, quality, productivity, delivery, and continuous improvement while ensuring smooth coordination between Production, Stores, Purchase, Quality, and other departments.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can build high-performing teams, improve production systems, maintain quality standards, and deliver customer orders on time.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Operations

- Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are achieved.
- Monitor production capacity, manpower allocation, and work-in-progress (WIP).
- Ensure efficient utilisation of manpower, machinery, materials, and factory resources.
- Monitor production performance and resolve operational bottlenecks.

Team Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and develop Production In-Charges, Supervisors, Tailors, and production staff.
- Build a disciplined, accountable, and high-performing production culture.
- Conduct production meetings and performance reviews.
- Coach and develop team members to improve productivity and quality.

Quality & Process Improvement





- Ensure products meet Company quality standards and customer specifications.
- Reduce defects, rework, and material wastage.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and production flow.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives across the factory.

Cross-Functional Coordination

- Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, Quality, Industrial Engineering, HR, and Accounts teams.
- Ensure timely availability of materials for production.
- Support planning for new product development and production requirements.
- Ensure effective communication between departments.

Reporting & Performance

- Monitor production KPIs and factory performance.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Analyse production performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Communicate production updates, challenges, and improvement plans to senior team members.

Safety & Compliance

- Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient production environment.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies, SOPs, and safety procedures.
- Promote workplace discipline, housekeeping, and 5S practices.

Requirements

Experience

- 5–10 years of experience in Leather Garment Manufacturing.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a Production Manager or similar leadership role.

· Experience managing leather jacket or premium leather apparel production will be a strong advantage.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering,



or a related engineering discipline.
- Education or experience in Leather Technology, Leather Garment Manufacturing, Garment Technology, or Apparel Technology will be an added advantage.
