Job Summary

The Design Engineer – Jigs & Fixtures is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing jigs, fixtures, and tooling solutions to support production, improve accuracy, and enhance productivity. The role involves working closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure efficient manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop jigs, fixtures, and tooling for machining, welding, assembly, and inspection processes
- Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, etc.)
- Analyze product requirements and create cost-effective fixture concepts
- Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and ergonomic standards
- Coordinate with production teams for trials, modifications, and implementation
- Conduct feasibility studies and design validation for new projects
- Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and technical documentation
- Support troubleshooting of existing fixtures and implement improvements
- Work with vendors for manufacturing and procurement of tooling components
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and deliverables





Required Skills & Competencies

- Solid knowledge of jig & fixture design principles
- Understanding of machining processes (VMC/CNC, turning, milling, welding, etc.)
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Creo)
- Knowledge of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic knowledge of materials, tolerances, and manufacturing methods

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

- Experience in automation or fixture manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic fixture systems
- Exposure to lean manufacturing and process improvement

Job Types: Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹15,544.79 - ₹30,819.39 per month
