Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior QA Automation Test Lead with a strong background in Python-based automation and proven experience in the mortgage or financial services domain. This role involves leading a QA team, building scalable test automation frameworks, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant mortgage software products.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end QA activities across multiple mortgage-related applications (LOS, POS, servicing, underwriting, etc.).
- Develop and maintain robust Python-based automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Developers to understand mortgage business workflows and translate them into test scenarios.
- Own the QA strategy, planning, and execution for new features, releases, and regression cycles.
- Integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Ensure test coverage for compliance, regulatory, and risk-related scenarios specific to mortgage lending.
- Mentor and guide a team of automation engineers; conduct code reviews and enforce QA best practices.
- Analyze production issues, participate in root cause analysis, and recommend preventive actions.
- Report testing metrics, track defect trends, and work with stakeholders to drive quality improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 10+ years in QA/testing, with at least 4+ years in a QA leadership role.
- Strong programming skills in Python (mandatory).




- Strong expertise in test automation tools/frameworks such as:
- Selenium, Cypress, Playwright
- TestNG, JUnit, BDD (Cucumber)
- REST Assured, Postman, SoapUI for API testing

- Proven experience building or maintaining automation frameworks using:

- PyTest, Selenium, Robot Framework, Behave (BDD)
- Requests / HTTPx for API testing

- Strong experience in the mortgage domain, including systems such as:

- Loan Origination Systems (LOS)
- Point of Sale platforms (POS)
- Mortgage Servicing Systems
- Encompass, Black Knight, Calyx, ICE Mortgage Technology (nice to have)

- Knowledge of mortgage lifecycle: application, underwriting, approval, funding, closing, servicing.
- Experience testing data pipelines, ETL processes, and working with databases (SQL, PLSQL).
- Hands-on with CI/CD tools and test integration (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and QA processes in regulated environments.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Proficient in test management tools (JIRA, ADO, Zephyr, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- ISTQB or similar certification.
- Familiarity with US mortgage compliance (e.g., RESPA, TRID, HMDA).
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Experience testing data-driven applications or financial calculations (e.g., amortization, APR, DTI, LTV).
