About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ScienceLogic SL1 Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise monitoring solutions for complex IT infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in infrastructure monitoring, automation, event correlation, and integrations with ITSM platforms while ensuring high availability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise monitoring solutions using ScienceLogic SL1.
- Monitor and manage enterprise infrastructure across network, compute, storage, virtualization, and cloud environments.
- Develop and optimize monitoring policies, event correlation rules, alerts, dashboards, reports, and automation workflows.
- Integrate ScienceLogic SL1 with ServiceNow and other ITSM platforms.
- Develop API-based integrations using SNMP, WMI, SSH, and scripting technologies.
- Troubleshoot monitoring platform issues and ensure high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to enhance monitoring capabilities.
- Participate in 24x7 rotational on-call support.
- Continuously improve monitoring standards, automation, and operational processes.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.




- 5+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure monitoring.
- Strong hands-on experience with ScienceLogic SL1.
- Deep understanding of:
- Infrastructure Monitoring (Network, Compute, Storage)
- Event Correlation
- Monitoring Automation
- Alert Management
- Experience integrating with ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms.
- Strong knowledge of:
- SNMP
- WMI
- SSH
- REST APIs
- Experience with virtualization platforms:
- VMware
- Hyper-V
- Cloud monitoring exposure:
- Azure Monitor
- AWS CloudWatch (preferred)
- Scripting experience in:
- Python
- Bash
- PowerShell
- Basic knowledge of:
- MySQL
- PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience implementing enterprise observability solutions.
- Knowledge of automation and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
