Job Description – Interior Designer (Luxury Furniture Studio)

Job Summary

We are looking for a creative and customer-focused Interior Designer to join our luxury furniture studio. The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete customer journey from walk-in consultation to design finalization and production commencement. The role requires strong design skills, client interaction, space planning expertise, and coordination with production teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Key ResponsibilitiesClient Interaction & Consultation

- Welcome and engage walk-in customers.
- Understand client requirements, lifestyle, preferences, budget, and project scope.
- Conduct detailed design consultations and requirement gathering.
- Provide skilled design recommendations and product selections.

Design Development

- Prepare furniture layouts, space planning, and design concepts.
- Develop mood boards, material palettes, and furniture specifications.
- Create 2D layouts, 3D views, and design presentations.
- Suggest customized furniture solutions as per client requirements.

Sales & Design Presentation

- Present design concepts and product proposals to clients.
- Explain materials, finishes, dimensions, and customization options.
- Revise designs based on client feedback and obtain approvals.
- Support the sales team in converting design proposals into confirmed orders.

Site Coordination & Measurements

- Coordinate site visits and take accurate measurements when required.
- Ensure design feasibility and technical compliance.
- Address site-related challenges and provide suitable design solutions.

Production Handover

- Prepare detailed working drawings and production specifications.




- Finalize materials, finishes, hardware, and dimensions.
- Coordinate with production, planning, and procurement teams.
- Conduct design handover meetings with relevant departments.

Project Coordination

- Monitor project progress from design approval to production commencement.
- Ensure all client approvals and documentation are completed before production release.
- Resolve design-related queries raised by production teams.
- Maintain project records and design documentation.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Interior Design, Furniture Design, and Space Planning.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3Ds Max, V-Ray, Photoshop, or similar design software.
- Excellent presentation and client-handling skills.
- Understanding of luxury furniture materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in luxury furniture, interior design, modular furniture, or residential interiors.
- Experience in client-facing design and sales environments preferred.

- Design-to-sales conversion ratio.
- Timely completion of layouts and design presentations.
- Client satisfaction and feedback scores.
- Accuracy of production drawings and specifications.
- Number of projects successfully handed over for production.
- Revenue generated through design-led sales.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
