Job Summary

The Inward Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting all incoming raw materials, bought-out parts, and components to ensure they meet the required quality standards and specifications before they are accepted for production.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect incoming materials and components as per drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Perform dimensional inspection using measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Screw Gauge, and other inspection tools.
- Verify supplier documents, test certificates, and material traceability records.
- Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials.
- Prepare and maintain incoming inspection reports and quality records.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Production, and Suppliers regarding quality issues.
- Raise NCR (Non-Conformance Report) for rejected materials and follow up on corrective actions.
- Ensure all accepted materials are properly identified and released for production.
- Follow ISO/IATF quality procedures and maintain 5S and safety standards in the inspection area.

Required Skills





- Knowledge of Inward Quality Inspection procedures.
- Proficiency in using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Screw Gauge, and other measuring instruments.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T; (preferred).
- Knowledge of Quality Control tools and inspection techniques.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
- Positive communication and coordination skills.

Qualification

- ITI / Diploma / B.E. (Mechanical) or equivalent.

Experience

- 1.5 – 7 Years in Inward Quality Inspection, preferably in the manufacturing or precision engineering industry.
