Job Summary

The Tube Mill Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining tube mill machines to manufacture steel tubes and pipes according to production schedules and quality standards. The operator ensures protected operation, minimizes downtime, and maintains product quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate the tube mill machine according to production requirements.
- Monitor machine parameters such as speed, alignment, welding, sizing, and cutting.
- Ensure finished tubes meet dimensional and quality specifications.
- Perform routine inspections and quality checks using measuring instruments.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
- Identify and troubleshoot machine or process issues and report major breakdowns to maintenance.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and lubrication.
- Record production data, downtime, scrap, and quality inspection results.
- Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and 5S housekeeping practices.
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and production teams during changeovers and production activities.




- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the work area.

Required Qualifications

- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical or relevant technical field (preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience operating a tube mill, pipe mill, or roll forming machine.
- Knowledge of ERW tube manufacturing processes is preferred.
- Ability to read production drawings and use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and micrometers.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
