Role Overview

We are seeking an entrepreneurial Founding Engineer / Technical Lead to take complete technical ownership of our e-commerce platform. In this foundational role, you will manage, optimize, and scale our current website while leading a massive, strategic restructuring of the platform’s architecture. You will work closely with the founder, engineering, product, and client teams to define the tech roadmap and align development eorts with hyper-growth business goals.

The ideal candidate brings a rare mix of strong architectural foresight, advanced expertise in Java, working knowledge of .NET, and a solid understanding of leveraging AI to build intelligent, ultra-scalable systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architectural Evolution & Restructuring: Take the architectural lead on planning and executing the future migration and restructuring of the e-commerce website from .NET to Java.
2. Technical Ownership: Review, maintain, and optimize the existing .NET codebase and full-stack architecture for the time being,



ensuring stability and performance before and during the Java transition.
3. Scalability & Performance Planning: Design and engineer high-concurrency systems capable of seamlessly handling 1 Lakh+ (100,000+) concurrent users or customers.
4. Application Development & Oversight: Optimize the current stack (Front-end: .NET, Back-end: React.js and Next.js). Plan and lead future initiatives, including mobile app development and seamless API integrations.
5. AI Integration: Identify and implement practical uses of AI technologies to enhance system optimization, predictive scaling, automation, or user experience.
6. Infrastructure & DevOps: Manage deployment, set up CI/CD pipelines, and implement advanced caching (Redis), CDN, and load balancing across cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) to guarantee high availability.
7. Security & Compliance: Ensure bulletproof data protection, encryption, secure payment gateway integrations, and proactive vulnerability prevention.
8. Team Leadership & Roadmap: Build, mentor, and scale the engineering team (backend/frontend/mobile). Work hand-in-hand with the founder to define the core technology roadmap.

Key Skills Required

1. Dual-Stack Fluency: Deep, expert-level proficiency in Java and contemporary Java frameworks,



combined with solid foundational knowledge of .NET to maintain and optimize legacy systems.
2. Next-Gen Frontend Familiarity: Strong understanding of JavaScript frameworks, specifically React.js and Next.js, alongside traditional MVC architectures.
3. High-Scale Architecture: Proven track record designing enterprise-grade microservices, optimizing database structures/complex queries (Aurora/PostgreSQL), and handling massive traic spikes.
4. AI Tooling: Foundational knowledge of using AI API integrations or machine learning applications to solve performance or product engineering challenges.
5. Cloud & DevOps Mastery: Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), API gateways, REST/OpenAPI standards, and setting up monitoring/alert systems.

Qualifications

1. 6–10 years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years acting in a dedicated technical architecture or system design capacity.
2. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
3. Nice-to-Have Skills: Direct experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and UI/UX design principles.
4. Preference would be given to someone who has E-commerce or E-commerce startup background.

Pay: ₹1,400,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
