Key Responsibilities & Duties

1. Shop Floor Supervision & Operations

- Oversee shift-wise production activities to achieve the planned manufacturing targets for APIs and intermediates.
- Monitor critical process parameters (temperature, pressure, pH, vacuum) and batch timelines to ensure product quality and yield.
- Charge raw materials as per the Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR) and supervise unit operations such as distillation, centrifugation, drying, and milling.
- Efficiently handle equipment such as Glass Lined Reactors (GLR), Stainless Steel Reactors (SSR), Centrifuges, Agitated Nutsche Filter Dryers (ANFD), and Blenders.

2. Documentation & Compliance (cGMP)

- Ensure online (real-time) logging and filling of Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), Batch Production Records (BPR), and logbooks.
- Maintain strict adherence to cGMP guidelines and ensure the production area is inspection-ready for regulatory audits.
- Issue raw materials and solvents from the warehouse as per production requirements and maintain accurate inventory logs.
- Report any process deviations, non-conformances,



or equipment breakdowns immediately to senior management and participate in root-cause analysis.

3. Safety, Health & Environment (EHS)

- Ensure 100% compliance with plant safety protocols and the correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all shift operators and helpers.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness (5S) on the production floor.
- Conduct safe handling and charging of hazardous chemicals and solvents.
- Handle spillages or emergency situations safely according to company EHS policies.

4. Team Coordination & Training

- Allocate tasks to operators, technicians, and contract workers during the shift.
- Provide on-the-job training to shop-floor staff regarding SOPs, safety instructions, and material handling.
- Hand over ongoing batch details, pending tasks, and plant status smoothly to the incoming shift officer.
