Role Overview:
A Payments Specialist collaborates closely with operations, engineering, and finance groups to create or document technical solutions and resolve partner issues through technical troubleshooting.
Position Responsibilities:
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve partner integration issues autonomously utilizing debugging tools to determine root cause.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of documented process flows to identify process improvement opportunities and update documentation.
- Track and project manage multiple projects simultaneously for partners, acting as a main point of contact for post-launch issues.
- Identify when cases require escalation and engage effectively with higher support tiers and cross-functional teams.
- Perform configuration and coding to enable, test, and validate new payment services.
- Perform quality reviews for team deliverables, identify gaps, and assist with onboarding and mentoring new team members
Required Skills:
- BA/BS degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science preferred) or equivalent practical experience.
- Working knowledge of SQL and Linux operating systems.
- At least 1 year of Java programming experience in a source-controlled setting and experience building a web application.
- At least 4 years of experience in coaching and mentoring (hands-on technical training experience is a plus).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate highly technical documents into support content.
- Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and collaboration skills.
Required Certification(s):
- Any SQL skill certification will be preferred.
