Job Description:
- Tool & Die Design: Spearhead the 2D and 3D design of complex plastic injection moulds, including core, cavity, lifters, and sliding mechanisms, using advanced software.
- Tooling Development: Oversee in-house tool manufacturing, maintenance, and modification to meet quality and production timelines.
- Current Product Development (NPD): Work cross-functionally to convert customer requirements into robust manufacturable mould designs.
- Cost & Quality Optimization: Implement cost-saving designs and ensure the moulds yield parts meeting PQCDSM (Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Morale) targets.
- Design Validation: Conduct simulations (e.g., Moldflow analysis)
to predict defects like shrinkage or warpage before tool production.
Key Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering.
- Experience: 4 to 7 years in plastic component and mould design, preferably within the automotive or white goods sectors.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on expertise in industry-standard software such as CAD/CAM tools, Creo
- Technical Competence: Deep knowledge of polymer materials, gating systems, cooling circuits, shrinkage, and IATF 16949 quality standards
