These platforms support more than 150 airlines, hundreds of websites, airports, and hotel properties worldwide, processing large volumes of transactions with consistently low response times.
The Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) team provides a secure, self-service, and cost-effective database platform for SQL and NoSQL technologies, including Couchbase, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), MariaDB, and Oracle. The team manages the full database lifecycle, from automation development to security and compliance, tooling, and operations, within a highly available enterprise setting. The team operates in a global, follow-the-sun model with colleagues located in Bangalore, Bogota, Europe, and the United States.

Summary of the Role

The Platform Engineering Engineer 2 supports the design, management,



and optimization of cloud and infrastructure platforms to ensure performance, reliability, and security. This role focuses on automation, modern infrastructure practices, and collaboration across engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions aligned with business outcomes.
You will contribute to project teams and cross-department initiatives, working independently on defined tasks while receiving guidance on broader technical strategies.

Your Main Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and document infrastructure and database automation components.
- Build and maintain cloud and platform solutions using automation, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies.
- Support containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Participate in incident investigation, troubleshooting, and on-call support using structured operational processes.
