We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Inspector to inspect precision machined components produced on CNC, VMC, and HMC machines. The candidate will ensure that all products meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards by conducting dimensional, visual, and documentation inspections.

Location : Mylampatti, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

Key Responsibilities - Experience: 2 years Maximum, (knowledge, vernier caliper, miceometer, drawing reading and understanding)

- Perform in-process and final inspection of machined components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and customer specifications.
- Measure components using precision measuring instruments such as:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer (Inside & Outside)
- Bore Gauge
- Height Gauge
- Dial Indicator
- Thread Gauges
- Plug Gauges
- Ring Gauges
- Slip Gauges
- Surface Plate
- Inspect components manufactured on CNC Turning Centers, VMCs, and HMCs.
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, surface finish, and visual quality.
- Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) and in-process quality checks.
- Record inspection results and maintain quality documentation.
- Prepare inspection reports and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Identify defective products and segregate non-conforming materials.
- Work closely with production, CNC operators, and programmers to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure calibration status of measuring instruments before use.




- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain 5S and safety standards in the inspection area.
- Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes.
- Good understanding of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Ability to read engineering and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of surface roughness and tolerance standards.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, Word).
- Positive documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Preferred Qualifications

- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering / Tool & Die / Production Engineering.
- Certification in Quality Inspection or Metrology is an advantage.

Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in a CNC/VMC/HMC machine shop quality inspection role.
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, precision engineering, or industrial component manufacturing is preferred.

Working Conditions

Pay: ₹18,086.00 - ₹33,748.31 per month
