1. Assignment

As a Technical Expert M365 Exchange, you take a key role in the set-up, rollout,
expansion and operational support of Microsoft Exchange within the IT Service
Center Communication & Collaboration. You actively contribute to the
transition from a custom-built, on-premises mail and calendar solution to
Exchange Online and a Microsoft-centred digital workplace.

Like every system engineer at Colruyt Group,
you make sure IT systems work together optimally. You monitor, support, build,
integrate and manage your assigned infrastructure system in a
customer-oriented, effective and effective way, so the continuity and secure
and proper functioning of the enterprise mail platforms are guaranteed in the
long run.

The role combines project work, technical configuration, automation and
operational responsibility within a large-scale, business-critical Microsoft
365 environment.

2. Responsibilities

Build &
projects (system builder)

• Act as technical
specialist for the rollout and support of the Exchange Online environment.

• Actively
participate in projects for the expansion and rollout of Exchange Online —
including configuration, automation (e.g. PowerShell, scripting) and
integration with other Microsoft 365 services and surrounding systems.

• Contribute to the migration and transition from
the on-premises, custom-built mail & calendar platform to Exchange Online,
helping to ensure a stable and scalable cloud environment.

Operations
& lifecycle management (system manager)

• Co-design and implement a robust operational and
support model for Hybrid Exchange (Exchange Server SE) and Exchange Online
within the Service Center.

• Support the full
life cycle of the solution: install and maintain the environment (release
notes, testing, bugfixes)



and proactively monitor the systems, reporting
observations and KPIs to the stakeholders involved.

• Draw up optimization proposals and report your findings
to the application manager.

Incident &
support management

• Provide 2nd- and 3rd-line technical support for
Exchange within the Service Center.

• Analyse incidents and complex issues,
pro-actively propose structural improvements, and ensure correct handling and
follow-up according to priorities, SLAs and SLEs.

Change &
knowledge management

• Prepare, plan and execute changes according to
the change process, providing fall-back procedures and documentation.

• Document
solutions, configurations and operational procedures, and build up the
knowledge base.

• Share your M365 Exchange
knowledge with colleagues and help raise the overall expertise level within the
Service Center.

Collaboration & Stakeholder management

• Work closely with colleagues across
Communication & Collaboration, projects and operations, and act as point of
contact for the assigned system.

• Have close contact with architects, system
engineers, and other 3rd line profiles.

• Frequent
alignment with internal stakeholders like our business contacts, product
owners, operations and other IT teams.

Skill set

Education
& experience

• More than 7 years of experience as a System
Engineer or in a similar technical role in M365 Exchange.

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365
and Exchange Online administration in enterprise environments.

Technical
expertise

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Exchange
Online,



Exchange Server SE and Hybrid Exchange deployments in enterprise
environments.

• Deep knowledge of mail flow and SMTP routing,
email security and authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), mail delivery and
troubleshooting.

• Strong experience with Exchange mail flow
components, including connectors, transport rules, MX records and message trace
analysis.

• Experience in mail security investigations,
incident analysis and troubleshooting of complex messaging environments.

• Advanced PowerShell scripting skills, including
automation, reporting, lifecycle management and Microsoft Graph integration.

• Proven experience with Exchange Hybrid
deployments, coexistence scenarios and migrations from on-premises messaging
environments to Exchange Online.

• Familiarity with Azure Communication Services
(ACS) and its integration with Microsoft 365 communication and messaging
solutions.
