Job Title: News Anchor

Job Summary: A News Anchor delivers live and recorded news broadcasts, interviews guests, introduces reporters' segments, and ensures viewers receive timely and accurate information.

Key Responsibilities: Present daily news bulletins professionally and confidently. Read news scripts from a teleprompter or deliver breaking news with minimal preparation. Research and verify information before presenting it. Conduct interviews with experts, public figures, and eyewitnesses. Coordinate with reporters, producers, and editors to prepare broadcasts. Cover breaking news and provide live updates from the field or studio. Maintain a professional appearance and on-air presence. Follow journalistic ethics, accuracy, and impartiality.

Required Skills: Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills. Strong command of the language(s) used for broadcasting. Clear pronunciation and confident voice. Ability to think quickly during live broadcasts. Strong research and fact-checking skills. Teamwork and time-management abilities.



Knowledge of current affairs and journalism principles.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field (preferred). Previous experience in reporting, broadcasting, or news presentation is an advantage. Familiarity with newsroom software and teleprompters. Work Environment: Television studios, radio stations, or digital media organizations. May require early morning, evening, weekend, or holiday shifts. Work under tight deadlines and during breaking news situations.

Salary: Salary varies depending on experience, location, and the media organization. Entry-level anchors typically earn less than experienced national or prime-time anchors. This description can be adapted for television, radio, or digital news platforms depending on the employer's needs.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
