The social enterprise initiated by Kshamata has been serving as a vehicle and platform in-house for job
readiness as women part of the Kshamata Transformation Program are able to providing a sheltered
employment approach to young women prior to their independent placement. This process enables
women to ‘earn-and-learn’, at the same time providing a space to develop work ethics and discipline.
The social enterprise creates livelihood for women and consistent income generation activities.
SCOPE OF WORK -
Ensure pricing and catalogue of products are in place and reviewed from time to time
Set budgets and manage budgets
Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination with current clients, potential buyers, corporate
& designer/s.
Build up forward and backward linkages and partnerships necessary for the growth of the social
enterprise
Coordination and resource mobilization in much needed expertise and volunteers required for
the social enterprise (like, designers, e-commerce, stalls, financial expert, etc.)
Mobilization of resources for the social enterprise development
Ensure visibility through various platforms including social media
Coordination and Collaborations with donors and all other stakeholders interested in/involved
with the enterprise development
Overseeing monthly expenditures and approvals and keeping a tracking through spending plans

Ensure continued market research and segmentation segmentation along with the team
members/volunteers
Ensure sales targets are set and met
Pretesting of products and client feedback on a regular basis
Put in place various marketing strategy in consultation with the senior management/
Trustees/external experts and also implement the same
Develop a robust brand identity for the social enterprise, emphasizing its social impact,
sustainability, and quality craftsmanship. Ensure that this brand identity is consistent across all
marketing channels
Collaborating with other organizations, NGOs, influencers,
and stakeholders to amplify the social
impact and reach of the enterprise. Forge partnerships with ethical fashion organizations, and
retailers who align with your mission. Collaborate on marketing campaigns or retail
opportunities to expand your reach
Build forward and backward linkages and partnerships necessary for the growth of the social
enterprise (Kshamata Unlimited – KULT).
Ensure continued market research and segmentation along with the team members/volunteers
Work on the compliance of the social enterprse
.
Education and Experience:
Masters in social entrepreneurship/Business management - entrepreneurship / Bachelor of
Business
Past experience of handling small and/or mid-size enterprise (will be an added advantage)
Experience of working in the social sector (on women empowerment and livelihoods will be an
added advantage)
Experience of working in the area of sales/marketing
Past experience of handling small and/or mid-size enterprise (will be an added advantage)

Online Presence: Establish and maintain a strong online presence through a website and social media
platforms. Showcase products, share stories of artisans,
and highlight the social impact of purchases.
E-commerce: Set up an e-commerce platform for selling products online, making it easy for customers to
purchase from anywhere. Ensure a seamless and secure checkout process.
Community Engagement: Engage with the local community through events, workshops, and
collaborations. Offer sewing or jewelry-making classes, host trunk shows, or participate in local markets
to build relationships and raise awareness.

Storytelling: Utilize storytelling to connect customers with the artisans behind the products. Share their
stories, struggles, and successes to create an emotional connection and differentiate your products from
mass-produced alternatives.
Sustainability Focus: Highlight the sustainability of your products, whether through the use of eco-
friendly materials, fair labor practices, or waste reduction initiatives. This can be a strong selling point
for socially conscious consumers.
Identifying Prospects: Researching and identifying potential clients who align with the values and
objectives of the social enterprise. This might involve businesses, organizations, government agencies,
or individual consumers.
Customer Relationship Management: Implement a CRM system to manage customer interactions and
track sales data. Use this data to personalize marketing efforts and improve customer retention.
Staying Informed: Keeping abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and developments in social
enterprise to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
Measurement and Analysis: Continuously monitor and analyze marketing and sales metrics to assess the
effectiveness of strategies and identify areas for improvement. Adjust tactics accordingly to optimize
results.
By combining these strategies with a genuine commitment to the NGO's mission, you can effectively
market and sell the tailoring and jewelry products while maximizing their social impact.
