Operate conventional and CNC machines such as milling, lathe, surface grinding, EDM, and wire-cut EDM under supervision.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Inspect tools and components using precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and dial indicators.
- Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on production tools and equipment.
- Support tool trials, debugging, and production setup activities.
- Identify tooling issues and report them to senior engineers for corrective action.
- Maintain tool room records, maintenance logs, and inventory of tools and spare parts.
- Ensure tools meet quality standards and dimensional tolerances.
- Follow 5S, safety procedures,
and company quality standards during all tool room operations.
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tool life, reduce downtime, and improve productivity.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to resolve tooling-related issues.
- Learn and apply CAD/CAM software and basic CNC programming where required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tool room and work area
