Job Title: Deputy Manager/Manager-Electrical
Location: Olpad Surat
Qualification: BE Electrical
Experience: 8 to 12 Years

Core Responsibilities

1. Plant Maintenance & Reliability

- Plan and execute Preventive, Predictive, and Breakdown maintenance of all electrical assets to minimize downtime.
- Manage and maintain critical electrical equipment including Transformers, HT/LT Switchgears, Motors (up to high kW ratings), VFDs, PCC/MCC panels, and UPS systems.
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of protective relays, circuit breakers (ACB, VCB), and power monitoring systems.

2. Safety & Hazardous Area Compliance

- Ensure strict compliance with Flameproof (FLP) / Explosion-proof equipment standards suitable for Hazardous Area Classifications in a chemical plant.
- Implement Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) protocols, work permit systems, and ensure 100% adherence to electrical safety norms (CEA regulations).
- Conduct regular electrical safety audits and risk assessments.

3. Power Distribution & Statutory Compliances

- Manage the plant's main incoming power supply, DG sets, and synchronization systems to ensure uninterrupted power.




- Coordinate with state electricity boards (DGVCL / GETCO) and the Electrical Inspectorate for statutory approvals, licensing, and compliance.
- Maintain power factor near unity and optimize energy consumption.

4. Project Execution & Upgrades

- Spearhead brownfield electrical projects, capacity expansions, and modification jobs from concept to commissioning.
- Prepare technical specifications, review electrical drawings (SLDs, cable layouts), and evaluate vendor quotes.

5. Team Leadership & Cost Control

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
- Prepare and monitor the annual O&X; (Operational & Capital) budget for the electrical department.
- Maintain optimum inventory of critical electrical spares using ERP systems (like SAP/Oracle).
