Job Summary

As Head of Procurement India, you will be responsible for managing purchase activities and coordinating local vendors to ensure the timely and cost-efficient procurement of goods for Wandfluh India and other entities around the world.

The role involves developing the Indian supply base, auditing and validating suppliers, negotiating contracts, fostering and maintaining relationships with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with Wandfluh policies and standards.

The disciplinary reporting line is to the GM of WIPL. The technical reporting line is to the Head of Purchasing at Wandfluh AG in Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure cost-efficient and on-time procurement for the Wandfluh Group in India
- Build and maintain the Indian supply base
- Negotiate contracts and audit suppliers




- Guarantee policy compliance and reporting quality

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
- Supply Chain Management
- Commerce
- Engineering

Experience

- A minimum of five years' proven experience in strategic procurement and supply chain management is required
- Experience in the hydraulics, precision machining
- and/or iron castings fields is preferred
- Experience of collaborating with international teams

Skills

- Robust negotiation and communication skills
- Fluency in the English language
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Acceptance/willingness to travel for official work. (up to 60%)
