Senior VDI Engineer

Department – Cloud Engineering
Experience – 9+ years

Key Responsibilities:
1. VDI Architecture & Design: Develop and maintain robust VDI architecture using VMWare Horizon,
App Volumes, DEM, and Cloud Pods.



Lead the development and refinement of templates, AppStacks,
and User Writable volumes to support diverse business needs.
2. Strategic Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for VDI architecture, offering technical
guidance and strategic insights to align VDI solutions with business goals.
3. Quality & Standards: Drive best practices in VDI by setting high standards for performance,
scalability, and reliability. Regularly evaluate and improve the user experience within VDI
environments.
4. Technical Oversight & Mentorship: Act as a technical advisor, mentoring team on VDI and related
technologies, including integrations with VMWare ARIA.
5. Upgrades & Optimization: Oversee planning and execution for VDI upgrades, ensuring seamless
transitions with minimal impact on end-users.
6. User Experience Focus: Prioritize user experience within VDI design and support, ensuring high
performance and reliability across all user interactions

Skills and Qualifications:
1. Proficiency in VMWare Horizon, App Volumes, DEM, and Cloud Pods.
2. Experience with VDI architecture and template design, building and managing AppStacks, and User
Writable volumes.
3. Strong understanding of Active Directory (AD) integration with VDI environments.
4. Proven experience with VDI user experience enhancement and performance optimization.
5. Experience with VMWare ARIA for VDI is a plus.
6. Ability to set and uphold high standards for quality and consistency in VDI environments.
