Reports to: Managing Director

Location: Ahmedabad (Head Office base), with extensive travel across active project sites

Direct reports: Project Engineers / Site Managers across all projects; plant and machinery in-charges; site supervisory teams

Role Purpose

Own end-to-end project delivery across the entire order book — execution, quality, cost, schedule, safety, and plant utilisation — so that the founders move off day-to-day site running.

Equally, build the next layer of site leadership, including the structured 18-month development of the firm’s high-potential engineers into division leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Delivery

- Own delivery of all active and incoming Road (Bitumen) and structural (RCC) projects to scope, schedule, and budget, with project-level P&L; accountability.
- Run high-volume, multi-work programmes — many small parallel sub-works executed simultaneously — with disciplined pre-construction and billing throughout.
- Resolve site-level execution hindrances (alignment, encroachment, approvals, obstruction) and keep works moving.

Quality & Technical Standards

- Ensure all bituminous (DBM/BC) and RCC work meets specification and the standards of the relevant government and municipal authorities.
- Drive quality systems, material testing, and adherence to estimated vs. actual quantities; eliminate rework and length-variance leakage.

Plant, Machinery & Resources

- Maximise utilisation of the company’s batch mix plants, mechanised paving equipment, and vehicle fleet; minimise idle time and breakdowns.




- Own on-site fuel discipline (diesel/LDO efficiency) and coordinate closely with Procurement on bitumen, aggregates, cement, and steel.

Cost & Productivity

- Drive in office cost control and productivity against estimated norms; own daily progress reporting (DPR) discipline and site-level reporting to the MD.

People & Leadership Development

- Build, lead, and motivate the site management organisation across all locations.
- Personally mentor the high-potential engineers.

Client Interface (Execution Level)

- Manage day-to-day relationships with client engineers and officials; own measurement books and the site-side substantiation of running account (RA) bills.

Safety, Compliance & Systems

- Ensure site safety, and labour, statutory, and environmental compliance at sites and plants.
- Institutionalise SOPs so delivery is repeatable and not founder-dependent.

Success Metrics (First 12–18 Months)

- On-time completion rate and projects delivered within budgeted cost.
- Plant utilisation, fuel and material efficiency vs. norms, and reduction in rework.
- Timeliness and accuracy of RA bill substantiation from site.
- Measurable development progress of the two young engineers.
- A clear,



demonstrable reduction in the MD’s time spent on routine site operations.

Qualifications & Experience

- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (M.Tech or MBA an advantage).
- 15–20 years in road/highway/infrastructure construction, with proven experience running multiple sites simultaneously.
- Deep, hands-on bituminous and RCC road execution experience; familiarity with batch mix plant and mechanised paving operations.
- Strong track record with government and municipal clients and their measurement and billing systems.
- Experience leading large site teams; ideally exposure to a firm that scaled or professionalised.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
